I was hoping UF could finish off LSU but it don't make no nevermind to me. To be honest. I think LSU would be a much easier game for OSU than UF would. The Gator offense is only marginally better than the Buckeyes (by 6 points per game total offense) but they've been improving every week with Boekman and are starting to find their groove. They didn't put up Heisman yards (quantity) against Purdue yesterday but the quality was a vast improvement. We already know LSU can be scored on.

The difference between OSU and UF comes on the other side of the ball. OSU is now #1 in total defense, allowing only 7.2 points per game, where Florida is all the way at 37th allowing 21. That means the only red zone LSU would be seeing is their own.

Speaking of USC, I just noticed the poll is out. Not only did they struggle with Washington (who put twice as many points up against USC as they did against OSU) last week but yesterday they lost to an unranked 41 point underdog, at home, and they only fell 5 spots to #7. Why? Because Pete Carrol spends Sunday-Friday on his knees, that's why. Maybe if he spent some of that time watching tapes instead he'd be able to win on the field and would be ranked by their own accord.

WTF...? SC beat #8 Kentucky and actually fell a spot? Why, because Mizzou beat a lame Nebraska? Oregon didn't even play and they leapfrogged SC from 14 to 8. What are these jackasses smoking? I don't even agree with VT leapfrogging them. Yeah, they beat Clemson but Clemson was ranked all the way down at #22. SC beat a team ranked higher than themselves. Idiots.

I'll have to check the polls since I havn't looked yet. But USC losing to Stanford, that is worse than App. State in my mind. All you ever hear about is every five star recruit @ every position every year going to USC and that they are the most talented defense etc. etc. Fight On losers. OSU looked stellar on D and I hope to play LSU so I can hear about the SEC "speed" and how slow and boring the Big 10 offenses are. OSU is way ahead of everyone else in the big ten, see the Michigan State Northwestern game, and should easily navigate the big ten. How bout some props to Cincinnati making some noise and hopefully moving up the top 25 after beating a so so rutgers team. Louisville fans I'm sorry and I hope your are all still with us. Next victim is Kent State who just lost to my alma mater Miami OH, should be a laugher. Please let Beanie rest so his ankle can finally heal and he can knock some peoples heads off. GO BUCKS.

It was a HUGE upset. Stanford had their backup QB starting that game and scored a TD with less than a minute to go. USC was in position to kick a game winning FG but Booty had a pick. Only problem is SC will likely now run the table. I was hoping that Cal might pick them off. It still may happen but not likely. Caroll my be on his knees a lot instead of watching film, but he's going to make double sure his team doesn't look past any one left on their schedule.

I don't disagree that USC will likely be heavy favorites against about everyone else in the PAC 10. And i also agree that it makes it a little less likely that USC would lose to Cal. But come on Stanford. Stanford is lousy and besides a thrashing against the over rated big 12 giant that is Nebraska, USC looked upinspiring against Idaho, Washington almost beat em, they will lose a couple more. Just to pick on SoCal a little bit more yo UCLA. Its tough to beat even the lowly Irish when you commit 7 turnovers including a pick 6. If you told me UCLA holds ND to 140 yards of offense and loses I would call you insane. Say bye bye to your coach with this roller coaster that beats USC last year, gets pasted 44-7 by Utah with thier backup QB, and loses to a pathetic ND at home. Now I predict they beat USC again at the end of the year and poor UCLA fans are stuck with another year of thier hapless coach. GO BUCKS

Agreed on all your points. Reminds me of the Oregon-Cal game cpl wks ago. Oregon gave Cal that damn game with 4 turnovers. I didn't know UCLA turned the ball over SEVEN times! No wonder Notre Dame won.

Having lived in L.A. once upon a time, the USC-UCLA rivalry is like any other BIG rivalry. Even if one (or both) teams are having bad years, beating the other makes their season.

As for USC, a LOT of fans of other Pac 10 teams would LOVE to see USC lose a cpl more times. *g*
